smoky mountains
joanie, marlana and i spent this weekend in the smoky mountains. when i got back from my sanity week in october, i had told the bunco gals how fabulous the cabin was that i stayed in. so the three of us went back. understand that i'm generally nervous about making suggestions to people because i'm always concerned they won't like it as much as i do. but i'd say this one worked out okay. we had a wonderful time! in fact, we're already planning our return in february. yay!
they also trusted my suggestion for breakfast at mimi's cafe in louisville. they enjoyed that, too. :)
i took a bunch of photos. the leaves were just begging me to take their pictures. you can see a good chunk of them on my flickr site. enjoy!

NEXT time you need to drive out west- toward Missouri - so i have a chance to join you! at least half way! c'mon!
It was an incredible weekend! The views were breathtaking, the cabin was awesome, and of course the company wasn't bad either! =) I can't wait to go again! You did good Becca!!!
Mimi's is great, isn't it?!? Next time I better be in town so I can at least visit you when you are in my town - I mean in my house....You guys are always welcome --- if I'm there or not! Glad you had a fantastic trip!
the pics are beautiful! i'm SO going with you in February!
i LOVE this leaf photo. i miss two things about the midwest (other than family, of course!): rain, and colours. We don't get nearly enogh big storms here and the fall colours tend to be yellow, yellow, and a slightly different shade of yellow. Yay aspens. There was more colour this year than i've seen yet and that made me happy! And this photo made me extremely happy. Yay.
