houses
i think this house looks cute. i want them to upload inside photos. though they do mention the neighborhood requires flood insurance. hmmm. i like the front porch.
this one is the one i was looking for last night when i was killing time between work & dinner. i didn't find it because i didn't know what street it was on. i think it's very cute.
if those links don't work, you can visit gniarmls.com click "property search" on the left & enter listing numbers 187210 & 183712.
as a side note - i think they've lowered the price again on the cedar lake house i was looking at.

they are both cute becca! are they close to jody/marlana? i like how the second one is blue.. everything is blue, kinda like you are looking at it through blue colored glasses instead of rose. anyways... they are both bigger than my house!! I don't know where the garage is in the first one, but it is nice that it is attached in the second. that way you don't have to go out in the rain and cold if you need something from your car. i can't wait till i have an attached garage! heck, i can't wait till i have a garage again! it is important to me to have a basement, but neither house has one... something to think about.
Those are both about 3 miles from where I went to grade school -- near Ridge Road and Calumet in Munster, and where I lived going to grade school, near 173rd and Calumet in Hammond.
my mom is an agent with coldwell banker if you are interested in finding an agent.
Oooh... those are both super cute!! I Love the porch on the first one too. It's nice that things have been remodeled/updated. I also like the second one. It's nice that it has central air, and that the garage is attached (that is a good safety feature too). The second one is a pretty good size (bigger than my first house) so you would definitely have a lot of room to grow. House hunting is so fun! I'm going to live vicariously through you since I think we are done moving for a LONG time! Keep us updated!
Very cute! i love looking at houses. I try to get Boz to go with me to open houses all the time!
The second house is only 1.38 miles from me! YAY!! and even closer to Marlana! I've always loved Cape Cods.
How great would that be to live in Highland!? I'd be thrilled. :o)
They are all both nice. I love house hunting also Jody we should hit those open houses together. Cody would never go with me. Have fun with this.
Oh I like those, esp the front porch on the first one. You would suck b/c then you'd be able to go home at lunch - I would be jealous!
ok, noting the price differential isn't really THAT much, i say the second house is superior... but inside pics are a must to decide. BUT also factor in to your buying price the fact that you're going to have to purchase your appliances.
i don't like the flood insurance necessity for the first house. this leads me to wonder about previous water damage at some point... insurance companies are bastards about that. and flood insurance is a racket... ask my mom about that.
i think if you're going to live in a more urban area, you should really go for an attached garage. safety and security, ya'know.
house 1: love the porch. dont' like the fact that they're being SO kind to leave a range that doesn't work so you'd have to pay to have it taken out and deal with it...
house 2: really like the attached garage aspect. like the central air, and if the owner is extremely motivated, you have room to negotiate.
also, bruce says: talk to at least three realtors and sometimes a small realtor is better as they can give you more personal attention. now i've not used a realtor to buy, but only to sell. make sure they are someone you can get along with... and one who won't pressure you into what you don't want.
durn, i'm so stinking excited for you.
